About Us

The Life and Mission Choir began in the United Reformed Church in 1999. It is now double the size it was and includes members from the Chinese Church in London as well as Anglicans, Baptists, Methodists and other Christian fellowships. Our mission is to worship God and share the Good News.

The choir have toured with two original and hugely successful home grown musicals, written by their musical director Paul Day in collaboration with Revd John Cox, minister of Christchurch, Chelmsford. Time for Jesus and Wise Man Foolish Man have both toured many churches and are still going strong, moving audiences and sharing the message of Jesus.

As well as this the choir have led worship at many churches in North London, presented concerts, taken part in musical events, had parties and eaten a lot of quiche. They love singing a range of music in many styles. Many members can’t wait for the summer break to end, whether that’s for the singing or laughing together when we get it all wrong. We rehearse in Friern Barnet and have no auditions to join, but are happy to welcome anyone with a need to smile, sing and worship.
